Hydraulic Optimization of a settling tank at wastewater treatment plant in Prague
The goal of this project was to design measures to improve sludge sedimentation by optimizing hydraulic conditions in the tank. Based on long-term data collection and its database evaluation, a mathematical 3D CFD model was developed that accurately represents the behavior of sludge in the tank. Using this model, an innovative inflow structure was designed, which proved to be so effective that it was registered as an industrial design for the EU.
